Workshops and Classes

I have been offering workshops and classes on different faces of creativity for twenty years including the UC Berkeley School of Education, the D.C. Regional Association for Poetry Therapy, the New York Open Center, the Omega Institute, the William James Foundation which funds art workshops in the California prisons, the Prairie Visions multi-disciplinary arts project of the Nebraska Department of Education, and many staff development programs for teachers and nurses. My work has been included as part of a weekend retreat for cancer patients and their families, at teacher in-services and "think camps," and at a conference for hospice caregivers. I also lead ongoing writing workshops and one day workshops in Northern California.

I have worked with elementary, middle school and high school students teaching through California Poets in the Schools since 1986.

I enjoy bringing the creative process to groups and incorporating writing into programs focused on renewal and growth as well as working as a creativity catalyst consulting with individuals.
